Dear diary,
Time flies. My vacation is over. I gained knowledge, experiences, valuable joy and extreme relaxation (well, not totally) through this trip to Bangkok – 26 Sept 2007 to 1 Oct 2007.
This gonna be a long post with a lot of photos. I wanna share this experience with people that I love – specially dedicated to my sis. I wish you were here and we can go on the trip together. Truly, madly, deeply, I believe it would be better with your companion! Well, I promise, I will organize an oversea trip for us the next time you’re back.
Day 1
Woke up on 5am. In fact, I never sleep the whole night. When I was about to get into my dreams, it’s time to wake up already. I’ve no choice but to take a quick bath, dress up and set to go. Our flight is on 9am. Arrived in Bangkok around noon. Checked in to our 2 rooms-Suite in Omni Tower and sleep for a little while. Then, we took the sky train to Emporium for dinner. Dad’s Thai partner – Kun Wattana brought us there. He’s a filthy rich CEO and so he know the good places. However, this meal is on dad. Poor dad it cost him a whole lot. However, it’s really a fabulous dinner! Shanghai style with Thai adaptation. Dishes served are like Roasted Duck, Spicy Veg etc. The only bad thing is, I’m having soar-throat while the food are heaty and spicy. What a bad combination! Then we shopped in Naraya which is located next to the restaurant. I got some souveniers and a pink bag.
Day 2
We went sight-seeing in Bangkok city. We went to the King’s palace, temple, Vimamek Mansion etc. I was so sick at the beginning of the day. I sat at a corner beside the temple. That was really a terrible momment! I felt dizzy. Took panadol and rest at the pathway while dad, hao and yin went on with the temple tour. Luckily there’s mummy to accompany me. A tour guide nice enough, seeing me pale and lifeless at the sideway, he then took out his oilment and let me inhale. When I open my eyes, there’s a group of foreigners surrounding me, like i’m displayed in a museum or what. They thought I fainted or what I suppose. Luckily I get a bit okay after the panadol gets effective. At the end of the day, we had our dinner in Siam Paragon’s Food Gallery. Then we shop for tit-bits in the supermarket. There’re lots of cute snacks and candies! Beer is cheap so damm cheap! I can’t resist but to constantly dump stuff into the shopping cart. There are really unique flavours for the snacks such as ’spicy seafood’, ‘cuttlefish’ etc. I love spicy food…although I can’t eat them at that momment because of my soar throat, but I just thought of buying it first and see how later on. Then, we took sky train back to ‘Nana’ station – that’s where our hotel is.

Day 3
We woke up super early and hop into the limo – heading to the floating market, which is one and a half hour journey from the city. The journey is longer than expected because of the terrible jam in the city! Bangkok’s traffic is terrible! Finally we reached the market before noon. It’s unique…we get a boat and experience shopping along the river. The stalls are located along the river and the boat will bring you pass the stalls. Whenever you saw something you want, then your boat will stop in front of the stall. After the boat ride, we shop at the stalls at the flea market. Bought some souveniers…daddy was good at bargaining!! A cat sculpture originally RM100 over, we got it for RM20. Isn’t that great ??!! Then we go all the way back to the city – to Bobeh Tower and Platinum to shopping for clothes!!! Clothes’re really super cheap especially when you get the wholesale price. So I bought clothes at 3-pieces-basis…luckily there’s yin to share some with me. Although cheap but the quality is not that bad afterall. We only managed to shop 2 floors then the shops are all closed, as early as 7pm. Then, we went to this classy restaurant which I forgot the name for dinner. The toilet’s interior is amzing! There’re fish ponds beside the toilet bowl. Dad’s Thai friend Kun Wattana is treating us this time. Dad’s business partners joined us for dinner too.

Day 4
We went to a very huge flea market in the morning, possibly the biggest night market in Bangkok. There’re lots of stuff! But it’s super hot, like suana. The ventilation is not too good. I bought 7 pair of earrings for RM10. That’s the only thing I get from there. It’s too hot and you won’t have the mood to shop. We then took the Sky Train to Siam Paragon for lunch in MK Gold, another classy restaurant. We had steamboat…nice interior, great ambient. Most importantly, it’s air-conditioned. After lunch, we took a taxi to Platinum. Shopping again. I can see dad’s painful expression. He’s bored, there’s hardly anything for him to shop in Platinum because it’s all youth fashion and the worst thing is that he have to pay for our shopping expenses. I hardly buy anything…the fashion there’s not really my preferences. There’re a few that attracted me, but those turn out to be quite expensive. Finally, I manage to get a couple of dresses and a top. It’s crowded with shoppers since it’s a Saturday. Not too fun…I wish you were here shopping with me, sis. It’ll definitely be a lot more better. Then, we took sky train to Paragon for dinner again. After dinner, we took the sky train to Suam Luan Night Market, a very huge night market with over thousand stores. I get 2 necklaces and 2 hairclips. The things there are not cheap if you don’t bargain. If it weren’t for dad, I think I wouldn’t get a good deal for the necklaces. Oh ya, one of it is for u sis. I nearly bought a handbag but it’s like so expensive…and the least we can get is RM60 so we decided to drop it. After all, we took skytrain back to the hotel. Oh ya, we’ve been pretty much on the sky train route this day because we got the day pass which entitle us unlimited use for one day.

Day 5
Our limo fetched us to Pattaya. The journey takes about 2 to 3 hours long. We watched movies in the limo. It’s comfortable…equipped with flexible seats, a LCD screen, tinted windows and curtains if you want it all dark inside. Finally we reached Pattaya. We stopped in a shopping complex for lunch. Fuji Restaurant became our choice. it’s a Jap Cuisine. Things in Pattaya is expensive as compared to Bangkok. I begin to miss the city…Daddy finally bought something – 2 snooker cube…price at Rm200 over each. That was expensive! Daddy also bought a bag for me. I love it very much! It’s so my style with a golden lock on it. Price at Rm120. Thanks daddy! yOu’re the best! Initially I don’t want it because I think it’s too expensive. But dad kept bargaining and although it’s not a good deal, he still buy it for me. Because he knows that I want it very much. Plus, I’ve been looking for a bag throughout the trip and there’s hardly one that can attract me so much. Then we headed to our resort called Pinnacle Resort. There’s a warm welcome with a Chrsanthynum welcome drink. It is a very nice resort…pretty much the Thai and Bali style with a lot of wood…Then we checked into our rooms. We get 2 rooms…The interior was amazing! The rooms look great! It cost Rm300+ per night. I also realized that there’re lots of German that love to stay in this resort – even the in-house movies are all German movies. We had our dinner at a Seafood Restaurant. This time, the driver join us. Dad ordered a super damm expensive fish. Fish is his favourite. I drank Singha beer. I finally recover a bit and so I deserve some beer as a reward of my discipline for the past few days. Dinner was great! Then,we spent our night in Pattaya town. There’s a street full with pubs and discos. There’re so many prostitudes….in a way, it’s horrible; in another, it’s an attraction…it can be a background scene for your photo coz it’s so unusual! Then we get back to the resort and that’s the end of Day 5.

Fuji Jap Cuisine
Having dinner at a seafood restaurant in Pattaya. Drinking Singha Beer with daddy. Cheers!
On the streets of Pattaya, a happening little town full with tourists and prostitudes.
Look how the mcD icon pose!
Day 6 (Final day)
9am, we took our buffet breakfast and then we go to the beach. Took loads of photos…the beach was beautiful but not as good as the local beaches. There’re a number of cute German guys…but all have partners already. However, still manage to wink to a few of them. (haha, just kidding) Then, we swam in the hotel’s pool … cam whore a bit and went back to the hotel room to get change. Pack-up and it’s time to leave.
Beautiful beach…but there’s jelly fish, so it’s dangerous to swim in the sea.
ya i know i know. i’m looking short and thin in this one…
The resort we live in – Pinnacle Resort Pattaya
The garden is scenic and green, good for eyes.
Our flight is on 5pm. We need to travel to the airport. Watched ‘Departed’ in the limo…horrible movie! There’re lots of ‘fucking’ here ‘fucking’ there in the characters’ speech. I wonder who’s the scriptwriter that suggest tho
se harsh languages. one or two can be humorous but too many of it is a disaster! Then we reached the airport. That was near…only an hour and so. We checked in our luggage and took a couple of pics in Bangkok Airport. Really a huge airport with futuristic architecture! I’ve done a mistake here…which is to spray Burberry tester’s perfume on my wrist. This scent makes me dizzy in the plane. Air-sick all the way back to KL. MAS served the new lunch box. The food is horrible. 3 sandwiches, an apple, 2 cookies and a chocolate snack. I never even give it a bite. I hate bread. However, I still manage to sip a mouthful of red wine…I can’t take in more, I’m just dizzy and need to keep my eyes closed. What a waste! We arrive in KLIA at around 9pm. So we shopped a while in KLIA duty free. Bought loads of sea-shells chocolate, my favourite! and Hawaiian Macademia Chocs, also my favourite. Daddy bought some liquor…yin bought perfume…hao bought tobacco for his friends…and that’s about it.
*the end of the luxurious Bangkok trip* – exactly my type of vacation. I don’t get this always. Thanks daddy. Muacks!
It’s worth it because it mended half of my broken heart.
