Blue

Posted on January 29th, 2009 @ 7:48 pm

Dear diary,

Blue

… describes my mood today.

Gloomy as it could be. Is it because of the rain?
It can’t be. because I literally love rainy days.

At work …
I begun to hand-over stuffsss from one of my colleague that’s leaving, real soon.
Tomorrow will be her last day at work.
I’m feelin’ the pressure.

Anyways, hope tomorrow night will be a good one.
You gave us a reason to party. :)

A day at work

Posted on January 28th, 2009 @ 7:04 pm

Dear diary,

Today is a quiet day at work.

My other job title besides Ad Ops is Client Servicing or Accounts Executive.

Since it’s only the 3rd day of CNY, most of the clients are still on their CNY break.

Numerous outgoing; very few incoming. (emails)

My Chinese horoscope (dragon) says that this year it would be great for me to start work on the 3rd day of CNY.

So here I am. at work.

Also, get to know KY over lunch and hear about his tragic car-crash.

Good to know that he’s fine, concussion-free and still ‘picky’ about the food he eats. lol.

CNY never feels better than this

Posted on January 27th, 2009 @ 1:41 pm

Dear diary,

It’s first day of CNY (大年初一).

Tradition sake, I went over to my aunt’s house @ USJ, where my grandparents stay-in.

There’s no internet connection, despite my few attempts to ‘borrow’ the neighbours’ line. But, all of them are smart enough to set a password for it.

Fine. I pack my laptop, grab my handbag, ajak my parents and off we go to Starbucks at Taipan.

Now, this impulsive action of mine tells me something – My life is incomplete without the internet. I can’t live a proper day without it. Does that means an iPhone is something I should opt for? (referring to the poll at my sidebar, so far 64% voted iPhone. you guys know me well!)

To my surprise, we saw my other aunt in Starbucks, doing her perfect date thingy.
We decided to give them some privacy and off we went to Coffee Bean instead.

We sat there for hours, drank coffee, do our thing.

That’s my daddy surfing the net with his iPhone.

CNY never feels better than this.

A date

Posted on January 25th, 2009 @ 11:44 am

Dear diary,

It was a Saturday.

I’m a procrastinator/rotter whatever. After my many attempts to postpone the earlier-planned-time, over and over, at last, at least, a dinner date is arranged.

You never gave up though you get quite annoyed at first. But all this while, any person that I tested this on would end up saying :”Fine, we’ll save it for another time.”

Italinannies, TGIF & Bubba Gump; you said choose one.

I said “Bubba Gump” because among those 3, this is the only one I haven’t been to.

So here we go – Bubba Gump.
Interesting fact: This restaurant’s concept is after the movie “Forrest Gump”.

When you’re on a “Do not disturb” mode, flip this:

When you’re ready for the waiters to get your order/bill etc, flip this:

My drink – some strawberry + cranberry + yogurt ice blended:

Not too bad for my taste.
In fact, I don’t favor ice-blended drinks because I hate the ice-rush sensation.
But, this might change my perception.

My main course: (I forgot the name, it’s some fish + shrimp in some sauce)

Tastes fab for the first few bites.
After a while, it becomes very filling & greasy.

Then a movie – Bride Wars.

Though I fall asleep at some parts (simply because I’m too tired), but still, I think it’s not too bad a movie. Typical Hollywood style romance comedy, but I still laugh about it and have fun watching all the wedding bits.

Then gifts.

A pair of music note earrings. so cute !

Foot-glide.
I first saw this from Emily’s blog. I heard it’s not available in M’sia. So I got you to get it for me. You did!! and you bought 2! So that I can wear my new heels without going through all the blisters and pain.

Tonight is so about me. I felt so honored.

A somebody like this is never easy to come by. Sincerely, I appreciated everything very much.

Thanks loads.

My new job

Posted on January 24th, 2009 @ 2:32 pm

Dear diary,

On 30rd December 08, my phone rings…

Me: Hello
Him: “Hello, you know who am I?”
Me: “No, who are you?”
Him: “Maybe you can try guessing.”
Me: “(starts speaking mandarin) 你是谁?不要玩啦。”
Him: *laughing out loud*
Me: …………. (contemplating whether to hang up the phone or not)
Him: Ok, I’m Timothy from Nuffnang.

(holly cow, luckily I didn’t swear/hang up.)

And then, I got the job.

2nd January, while most people are still having their new year hangover, I started work, in Nuffnang.

If you’re wondering what’s Nuffnang all about, it’s a blog advertising agency.

Well, I should be extra-cautious with my choice of words here, since reading blogs are part of the Nuffies’ daily work routine, which equally means my boss/colleagues might read this one day. lol. How amusing!

Till today, I’ve been living Nuffie life for 3 weeks already…

Note: Nuffie = Nuffnang’s personnel

…and these are some of the greatness of a Nuffie life:

1. My very own namecards:

water-proof name cards. (tested)
with my personalized quote too!
“Shoot for the Moon. Even if you miss you’ll land among the stars”

2. My own desktop PC:

My table is still quite empty.
Should I add more stuff ? Like a pink plush toy or something.

3. Klang Bak Kut Teh for lunch (happens quite often)

This is addictive i tell you.

4. Crazy colleagues

One day after lunch @ Pavillion.
We boikot Nic because boss get him a new Blackberry phone.
Now, can you guess which is Nic?

Pictures courtesy of Tim.

5. Nice office in KL.

Breath-taking city night view through the glass panes.

Sleeping area.
I’m told that I’m allowed to take a nap at this corner whenever I’m sleepy.
I haven’t try that. Maybe I should someday.

6. Party sometimes

Ruumz Launch in Mist Club, Bangsar.
This is so red-carpet style.
Yee Hou, Tim, Melissa, Pinky, Myself, Vernice

The best thing about that night is the free-flow of alcohol.
Myself, Vernice, Melissa, Pinky

7. Movie Screening sometimes

Underworld 3 Rise of the Lycans Screening.

I’m entitled to bring a guest and I brought my mom since she loves watching movies so much.

8. the list goes on…

this is what i do last weekend

Posted on January 16th, 2009 @ 11:00 pm

Dear diary,

Last weekend, I went to Youth 09.

Here are my feedbacks:

  • very Malay-skewed.
  • limited booths of my interest.
  • definitely can be better.

Anyways, I still manage to have some fun there. Such as…

..having great company

…getting a tattoo

…camwhoring

8TV casting – totally screwed! just for fun though~and heyy, that’s Prem!

and some sample/vouchers that i don’t think I’m gonna use anyway.

After the event, we went to Bkt Bintang to seek for some ‘reasonable’ (the nicer word for ‘cheap’) deals! lol. by train. which equally means a lot of walking to do.

People who know me personally would know that I am crazy for heels. I can’t live a day-out happily without it.

Until today, I probably prove myself wrong. Because my leg hurt in heels (for the first time in my life).

Maybe I didn’t completely prove myself wrong; it could be the heels that are being engineered wrongly.

…because I once tried conquering the Great Wall with heels. *sweat*
(p/s: the stairs are very steep if you realized)

My new planner

Posted on January 10th, 2009 @ 7:36 pm

Dear diary,

it’s year 2009!

i got myself a new planner.

While I was hunting for one, I set a benchmark:

must be pink, must have monthly pages, must not have daily or weekly pages, must have a lot of ‘notes’ pages.

and this is what I got:

Starbucks planner at RM18.
which is nothing like what i hunted for.
oh maybe it full-filled 50% of what i’m looking for.

There’re monthly pages so that I can have a glance of everything that’s going on throughout the month.

i tried thinking, if there’s no Starbucks logo there, will I still buy it?
The answer is NO.
because I fucking hate the dark brown cover.

but anyways…

extra credits to it.
The April partition is the nicest. one reason that contribute to my loving after this purchase.

I love my new planner. :)

should I? should I not?

Posted on January 10th, 2009 @ 4:03 pm

Dear diary,

I need a new phone!

But i can’t decide which one:

iphone – i love the fact that it makes me look smart.

LG Ice Cream Pink – obviously it’s coz of the colour. but i’m not very confident with LG phones.

so should i package myself to be a tech-geek or the girly girl next door? maybe you can help by voting through the poll widget at my sidebar.
