Dear diary,
Phiew~what a week! It was a very eventful one.
1. Attended quite a number of work-related events.
2. Fumble at certain aspects of my life.
3. Missed my dear friend’s zjo zjo’s birthday bash. - Sorry!
In short, it has been a fucked-up week for me.
Despite the tearful momments, I shall move on.

Dear diary,
Weekend flew past in a twinkling. That was fast!
Earlier tonight, I was wandering in the kitchen looking for some dessert after my rather light dinner.
To my surprise, I found this:

A box of chocolates sitting in the fridge.
It tastes really good!! So damm good that I forbid myself from eating more than two for the sake of saving the rest for another day.
I was flipping around the box looking for the brand so that I can buy another box of this. But, there’s no specific labels on the chocolates. The only indication is this:

Only then I come to know that this box of chocolate was a door-gift from some dinner event my dad attended.
The thing about these chocolates is, it’s so delicious that it makes me happy!!

Dear diary,
My vday started with me heading to Ribena Event in Sunway Pyramid.
It’s one of the recent work projects I’m affiliated to, it’s about Bottle Berry building a huge purple heart for Bottle Lemon.
I totally missed that part…sadness.
Anyways, if you’re wondering what the huge purple heart looks like:

During the event, I met the troop of influential voices - redmummy, nicolekiss, Cindy, Audrey, Tim etc.

Redmumy couple, me, Audrey & Tim
And also meeting up my clients Marilyn & Yvonne which I’ve been working with through emails only all this while. We finally met!
Shortly after the Purple Heart Launch, we were invited to a Renee Zellweger’s movie screening – New In Town.

Have not much comments about it. ‘An average movie’. That’s it.
I’ve been watching a lot of free movies since I joined Nuffnang, which is a good fun thing of being in the blog-o-sphere! and that’s the compensation of stress:

Indication of stress
The last 6 hours of my vday – I attended a dinner date.
A gentleman made a thoughful arrangement to reserve a place in a Roman Themed Garden Banquet, invited me, and I’ve no other better plans than this, so yea, it makes a perfect date.
At least I get to dress up a little, get out of the house, get out of the house, did I just said that twice?!

My look of the day
Anyways, it’s a six course dinner in the Courtyard of Palm Garden Hotel Putrajaya, with all servers dressed like some Roman servants and a live band singing love songs on the roof of 1st floor….

Overview

Aww… heart-shape food.
First Course: Love at First Sight: Sauteed Scallop in Puff Pastry with Fresh Oyster on Ice accompanied with East Meet West dressing & sauces (French & Thai)I copied this from the menu. Damm long!
The food is nothing to yell-about, except for some really fabulous dessert:
Third Course: Sweet Surrender: Refreshing orange Sorbet with mini Mandarin Orange
that we *thick-facely* demanded for another one foc.
and out of kiasu-ness, we also demanded for fresh oyster foc. This is my first time eating them. I guess I’ve no idea how to appreciate the goodness of it. Pinky once talk about it in her blog, describing that it tastes like women’s nether region, i guess it’s pretty true.
This dinner package also comes along with a rose, printed-photos, lucky-draw etc.
Very thoughtful and nicely planned!
And we had a bottle of Shiraz Rose, all by ourselves.

Then the world started to spin….round and round…that brings me a step away from puking. Fortunately, i didn’t, if not there goes the expensive dinner.
Sincerely, thanks for giving me all the memories for my vday. Happy (super-belated) Vday all.

Dear diary,
It’s a Saturday morning.
I’m pampered with some really good music, i can’t believe that I found someone with such similar music taste to me!
I’m very unpredictable, undecided, weird in a way and I don’t usually fall for the trend so it’s really hard for me to find music that I like. Indeed, I’m rather cynical about my music preferences.
Anyway, thanks for allowing me to ’steal’ music off your database. That indirectly contributed to my feel-good momment right now.

Dear diary,
12 Feb is one of my uni-buddy’s birthday. Her name is Chin Li.
We call her Lily-jie, Chun Li, a-li etc. – anything Lily-ish that strike our tongue.
A very happy birthday, superwoman!
A few of us decided to celebrate this occasion in Full House, NZX. (Ara Damansara) I personally love the name. It reminds me of Korean series 浪漫满屋 (Full House).

Full House is a beautiful lifestyle cafe with a white clean theme. The interior is designed with a touch of homely traits. Food price is relatively reasonable. RM10-20+ for main course, tastes quite good too.

Pan-fried Dory

Oh, I quite like the lamp-shade up there! It’s so-me!
The stirrer caught my attention. One end of it is a miniature cocktail.
I’m enthusiastic about miniature.
It’s so cute that I can’t resist and brought it home with me. It’s just a disposable plastic stirrer so no, that’s not stealing.
Tiramisu
This occasion also acts like a mini gathering for us uni-mates.

Non-stop chatterz, laughter & photos-taking.

‘a bunch of jokers’
Disney Lights
That marks a memorable evening.
It would be great greater greatest if you were here too, EE.

Dear diary,
I thought of going somewhere, have something nice for dinner or at least, do something that’s not work on this Valentine’s Eve.
Well, that was my original plan.
But for certain reasons, all my plans fucked-up.
And I get quite upset…
…and tired….
…and depressed…
Simply because of me being in a real bad and fucked-up situation, I affect the people around me.
I shouldn’t put it up on you, mom.
I’m so sorry.

Dear diary,
On Monday night, I attended Punshier 2 Premiere Screening.
I’m entitled to bring a guest and I brought my mom.
I really think she deserves it, counting on the endless love she gave me. Oh no, it supposed to be countless.

Me holding the tickets happily.
I don’t really favor the genre of gangsterism/film noir.
Because I literally dislike violent action pack and dark, wet, depressing setting of back lanes, longkang, abandoned factories etc.
Okay, maybe I did enjoy a bit when I was imagining what kind of dark red gravy or washable paint they used to set up the bloody scenes.
In fact, many of the extremely-violent scenes have been censored. Good for me but annoying for many.
Though, I find some parts quite amusing! I love funny parts that make me laugh. :p

Dear diary,
Dessert Bar is was having 50% off all items in their menu.
On one of the weekends, I went there twice.

The best thing of all is this:

Vanilla
Crème brûlée
…is a dessert consisting of a rich custard base topped with a layer of hard caramel, created by burning sugar under a grill, or with a blowtorch or other intense heat source.
(Wikipedia, 2009)
It’s very the super the nice! The texture is creamy, not filling (maybe because the portion is fairly small) and the top layer of thin crust completed the package.
Now I’m missing it already!
And because it was half price back then, I kept ordering it, as if it’s FOC.
And also other sweet stuff……

Chocolate Fruit Fondue

Ice-cream!!
etc etc etc
Then I had a conversation with the waiter:
Me: “Why’re you all having this 50% discount promotion?”
Waiter: “Oh, it’s because we’re changing to a new menu and we want customers to try everything in the menu.”
Me: (smile and thinks) I’m so gonna turn diabetic that way.
But somehow, it works pretty well, because within my 2 visits to Dessert Bar, I think I tried most of the menu items, causing my sugar level to sway aloof from the safe zone. And what happened is, I’m so gonna go back there to order a few more Brulee, even if it’s not half price.
50% discount is not too bad a marketing strategy afterall.
At least it works on me.

Dear diary,
This whole week seem so long and it’s finally Saturday morning.
That I get to sit down free from all inhibitions, sip on my cup of hot milo and start typing this post.
It feels great to be up early on a weekend.
Remember that I mentioned in my previous post that the ‘R’ key of my keyboard malfunctioned?
Now, I got a solution for it. And it’s this:

This is not a keyboard.
It is a pink keyboard.
R-key problem solved!

Even the cable is
pink!
How can I not love it?
All of a sudden, i love typing alphabets.
Talking about pink gadgets, I’d a few of them already including my camera, external hard-disk, mouse and mp3 player. i feel so good to see people inventing pink gadgets!

Now only if I’ve a pink iPhone (which is not invented yet) and a pink laptop (VAIO SR), that would have completed the list.
