Dear diary,
It’s kinda late…long since I’ve got the freedom the to stay up late and still have enough sleep. Bliss!
Just finished reading a book titled A Concise Chinese-English Dictionary for Lovers by Xiaolu Guo

No,it’s not a dictionary. It’s a love story between a Chinese lady and a British guy in London.
Who Where When What How? Read the book.
Didn’t know it was award-winning until now after I finish reading the book and googled it.
I bought it because it’s unique – it’s written in broken English.
I’m amazed how the story touched me just by a set of broken, literally broken language.
Eg. “I fearing future” – one of the phrases from the first chapter.
It seems so real, so original, cos of all the…language incompetence.
Just by this, it’s worth the read, if you’re not too particular about good English.
Writing style can be learned, good ideas cannot.
Sometimes, it’s so hard to judge whether a book is worth buying or not, just by reading the brief on the back cover.
You only know after you start reading it.
I don’t usually go for mainstream/bestsellers (well,maybe sometimes).
I don’t know who’re the famous authors, I just know my favourite authors.

Woo lend to me! I think you make good book choices
Oh, I have that book too! Got it at the Big Bad Wolf Sale (the previous one). It’s a good read eh? So this was the book you were reading in bed during the weekend.
Tim: sure, no problemo! hehe.
Huai Bin: Hehe, what a coincidence! Have you read it? Faster read it. Ya, the book i was reading on bed over weekend.
