Dear diary,
Lately I’ve been pretty busy with work, in prep for the upcoming Chap Goh Meh event in Pavilion Shopping Mall.
Looking out of my window right now, the moon could be clearly seen tonight. Very bright, minimal clouds, but not full moon yet.
On Chap Goh Meh itself, it’ll be full moon and hopefully the sky that night will be as clear as tonight.
Anyway to tell you a little something about the event, it’s inspired by the idea that traditionally, single ladies would toss mandarin oranges into the sea, wishing to get a good husband. Of course there’re many different versions of this, nah, full story read it here.
And so we thought, why not do it in the city instead? Since there’re so many Cherry Blossom Trees at the sidewalk of Pavilion, maybe we can toss the handwritten messages onto the beautiful pink trees… wishing for love, good luck, longer legs, taller nose, bigger b..okays this’s getting ridiculous … so that’s how this visualization gonna turn real this Sunday!

oh that’s not my love message. I’m gonna do mine this Sunday. It belongs to this beautiful young lady named Jayz:

If you’re wondering, her ceongsam is sponsored by Salabianca.

While this love message in French belongs to Jade from Geneva.

We work under one roof.
Of course besides the mass toss, I’m pretty excited about the Kun Seng Keng lion dance, apparently they’re the world championship! btw, this’ll only be my 2nd lion dance this CNY, and of course it’ll be the last one…boo, CNY’s gonna be over soon
Anyways, if you happen to/you could intentionally pop-by Pavilion that evening, to join the mass toss, got free goodies & shopping vouchers to win.

The trees won’t be there forever … Sunday will be the last day to pose with them.

Okays see ya then!
Gonna get some sleep now. *yawns*

Dear diary,
One of the stuff in my to-do-list is to get a hair cut.
I used to go to Sense Studio, but not very satisfied with the last hair cut.
Hence, decided to try a new place - The Belfry in Tangs, Pavilion. The owner is a Brit guy + his partner.
The saloon’s interior is kinda nice, not the typical hair saloon. This one has got style and colours.

‘Borrowed’ a picture from other people’s blog. he he.
I never pre-book an appointment, was very spontaneous. When I reached, they told me that they were closed for some model hair show.
Hmph, i blinked my eyes and they let me in. So kind! Basically the saloon is occupied with muscular MALE models and me. *drool*
I told the stylist, I want to chop off some hair, I want volume and some fringe.
So this is what I’ve became:

Not a very big change but exactly what I wanted.
The experience was good, nice interior, friendly stylist.
But one thing not very good is …. the height of the chair cannot be adjusted and so the stylist asked me to stand up so that she can trim my very long hair.
Just feels weird to stand up while my hair being cut. But anyway, I think I’ll go back there again.
Ohw, fun fact: saw Marina Mahathir in the saloon too.
After the hair cut, I took some pictures of the Christmas decor of Pavilion.

Very classy!

Rain-deers on top!

Love it!

Woohoo! Chrismtas is around the corner! My favourite season of the year…

Dear diary,
Time FLIES. I can’t believe that it is already year 2008. I haven’t officially say good bye to 2007. I haven’t even blog about my Christmas’07 and my Cambodia trip’07……
……and it’s already 2008.
At least I have cleaned up my room for the brand new year and get myself a new planner for year 2008.
my new planner
I’m more than satisfied with this planner – it’s sweet, colourful and there’re monthly schedules in it. I like to overlook my schedule in a glance rather than big bold daily ones.
My Year End Updates
24 December 2007 (Christmas Eve)
I woke up on 2pm as usual. Had my lunch. and the door bell rang.
To my surprise, I received pink roses!! I’m amazed and gone speechless for a few seconds. This is the cutest bouquet I have ever received. There are super cute blue bears chunked inside the flowers. It put a smile on my face because I fancy teddy bears.

Evening, I went to Etoile, Equatorial Hotel for a very special christmas eve dinner. With proper arrangement, we get a reserved table along with 3 course meal + Chardonnay (white wine).
The food is good, the wine goes well with the food! Everything seems so perfect…the chatter, the companion, the setting and there’s Santa Clause coming by to give us candies…a red rose is given to the ladies at the end of the meal. This is so ‘
valentine day‘ man! But it’s not, it’s Christmas Eve!
my chilled CHARDONNAY
APPETISER – SALAD OF BARRAMUNDI WITH SCALLOPS AND BUSH TOMATO SALSA
SOUP – CHIPOTLE PERPPER PERFUMED MEDITERRANEAN FISH SOUP
MAIN COURSE – TURKEY
DESSERT – MIXED NUT PARFAIT WITH CANDY GINGER
RED ROSE
A PEEP OF THE CITY
After the super duper nice dinner, I spent the rest of my night in Pavilion and Starhill. Just feel like going the posh way this year. I rest my legs somewhere around Ritz Carlton’s lounge…listening to the Jazz singer singing “L-O-V-E” along with piano accompaniment. followed by “When You Say Nothing at all” etc. This is pure indulgence I would say. Great ambient; Excellent Music!
RITZ CARLTON’S LOUNGE
WHITE CHRISTMAS IN STARHILL
SUPER NICE CHANDELIER IN MARRIOT, KL
As midnight approaches, the live singer in Starhill did a lil’ simple count down and we just hang out with the crowd there…counting down to Christmas!
Knowing that alcohol will perfect the night … I headed to La Bodega, Pavilion for some cocktails.
I had Cosmopolitan, Mojito and Baileys on the Rock. There is guest DJ in the pub to spice up the night…loud music, crazy party people and alcohol. The manager treated us 2 shooters – Baileys + Butterscotch. I know I’m not that good at drinking…but it’s not very good to not drink because someone is treating you…plus you need to drink it at one shot. that’s why it’s called ’shooter’. Luckily there’s someone to drink it up for me. thank God I don’t have to get drunk at this beautiful night of Christmas Eve.
MOJITO AND COSMOPOLITAN IN LA BODEGA
BAILEYS ON THE ROCK
25 December 2007 (Christmas Day)
Spent my day in Pavilion again. I watched “I am Legend“. Will Smith is damm good at acting I have to admit. But…”I am Legend” is not my type of movie. I didn’t really enjoy it. However, there is some sort of hidden values in the movie which makes it quite significant.
Before the movie, I ordered Baileys on the rock in La Bodega. I think I’m addicted to Baileys. Another good thing that happened on Christmas day was – I received Casis Rose Perfume which I’ve long yearned for. It is nearly miracle for me to seek for a perfume that is light and mild and won’t make my heads turn round. Lotus Petal smells good too but I only get to choose one and I’ve chosen Casis Rose. Anyway, I’m thankful about it.
