Indulge in the Uniquely Singapore experience

Posted on October 11th, 2009 @ 10:20 pm

Dear diary ,

I think I’ve been to Singapore 5-6 times in my life. I’ve this aunt who stays there always move to different houses every 1-2 years.

I remember the last time I bunked in her apartment, she stays in this nice place called “Spanish Garden” in Farrer Road, quite near to the city!

Usually I enjoyed my trip there very much, becuase Singapore…

….is a nice city

…always got nicer shopping malls

…is like a shopping heaven

…have got nice buildings – like their national library, Esplanade etc.

…they’ve got nice restaurants

like this restaurant we went to in Marina Square, it’s called Yuki Yaki. Buffet BBQ/Steamboat.

You can cook your own ice-cream!!

This’s daddy cooking strawberry ice-cream…

My trip there is always free & easy – wake up damm late waste half a day then go to a few places and call it a day.

If I were to have another trip there, I would want to go there during Christmas with my beloved and visit these places:

- Singapore Zoo – i heard their zoo rocks!

- MOS Burger for lunch – there isn’t any MOS chain in M’sia :(

- Bugis Junction – to take sticker photos, it’s cheaper there!

Took this in Bugis last time:

spore1

- Orchard Road - at night, for sight seeing + photos taking

- Maybe stay in Fullerton Hotel (if money is not a factor)

fullerton

- Visit Sentosa Island

- etc etc etc

Hope my dream come true!! This is my gateway towards that.

Random facts about Singapore (based on my observation) *humble smile*

-HK/Cantonese movies that’re shown in their cinema are dubbed with Mandarin audio

-There’re quite a lot of Western expats there

Random ‘I like’ about Singapore:

- Feels safer to walk on the street (as compared to Malaysia)

- I just generally like the city

Its Krrunch Time, Get Playful

Posted on September 26th, 2009 @ 11:45 am

Dear diary,

For the past few weeks, I’ve had a lot of Krrunch time outside the home that I wanted to blog about!

- Arthur’s Day BEP Concert
- Trip up North to Penang last week
- My stay in Avilion PD last last last week
- Movies outing
- Shopping trips

Looking forward to these Krrunch time:
- More parties!
Party

- NN Blog Awards in Singapore (gotta try to win some invites through blogging!)

(p/s: Krrunch = fun)

Today’s finally a Saturday that I planned to chill at home.

Usually at home, my life’s pace is very slow.
I wake up whenever I want to (usually around 11am), then turn on my favourite playlist, surf the net, read books, clean my room etc – any ‘not super fun’ stuff that you can think of!

Food wise, on lazy days like this, I won’t want to cook anything / take away anything. So usually my lunches are replaced by instant food or my favourite snacks. Tasty, convenient & it makes me happy!

This food part is usually the best damm part for a day at home – the perks of it!
Because … I would lie down on my bed, turn on my favourite show, munch on snacks and never want to get up from bed. It’s so comfortable and addictive!

My choice of snack today:

Pringles Sour Cream and Onion

Pringles Sour Cream and Onion

- It’s in a canister, easy to eat, not messy (esp when I need to eat while lying on my bed) & krrunchy!

It’s nearly 12 noon, think it’s Krrunch time for me already, hoorays! Gotta go now!

Powerful Cars

Posted on September 7th, 2009 @ 4:10 pm

Dear diary,

I’ve joined the pact! Here’s my cert:

Don’t drink and drive ok! danger danger.

In conjunction with this, there’s a chance to go on a ride on the JTP Super Car with Mika Häkkinen.

I’m not a hardcore ‘car’ person but I do notice powerful and stylish car ! Like I dream of driving a sports car someday.

If you’re wondering,what’s a JTP Super Car?

…it’s a very powerful car!
…is the fastest accelerating road car on the planet.
…it gives you an adrenaline rush.

Who’s Mika Häkkinen?

…a Finnish racing driver
…Seven-times world champion
…he’s kinda hot!

It would be damm exciting if I can go on the ride… or else, partying in Quttro is not too bad for a Saturday night! :)

That night with Ogawa

Posted on August 20th, 2009 @ 9:34 pm

Dear diary,

Part of my work life is to attend events, parties, movie screenings etc. Sometimes, it’s just fun – the part where you get free food, free booze; then you get to dress up, meet new people, fun people, take lots of photos etc.

Recently, there’s this dinner session at TGIF Pavilion, sponsored by Ogawa.

While waiting for the bloggers to arrive ….

In the picture, that’s May who helped out a lot to put this event together. Thanks May!

That night, there’s free flow of soft drinks (my fav).

The menu is quite good too! They served my favourite brocolli.

After the dinner, we paid a visit to the Ogawa store, few shop lots away.

It’s fun to meet up with other bloggers! They’re such fun people. And one of the typical traits of a blogger is to snap pictures like nobody’s business.

Pam

Here come the main character of the night! The new massage chair by Ogawa.

It’s called Smart Aire.

When I saw the chair in a position like this (picture above), I was quite shocked! Looks very power!!Then the sales person told me that the dimension of the chair is actually inspired by NASA, that’s why it looks a bit like the spaceship’s seat. Cool!

They called that ‘zero gravity’ …
…designed to follow the natural S-curve of the human spine in mind
…uses extra soft twin rollers to mimic the feel of the human thumb.

4 unique massages function

I really think this would be a great gift for my parents! We’ll see how.

Everybody’s having fun in the store, exploring all kind of possibilities!

Goodie bags! Woohoo!

Found this very interesting online promo:

Thought of getting the Termometer! Quite worth it…. Probably the vacuum too.

I Love to Save!

Posted on June 2nd, 2009 @ 1:13 pm

Dear diary,

I feel like I haven’t been updating my blog for quite some time. Ahh, pretty occupied lately!

Lately, I found one very interesting online campaign. DiGi is running an online charity campaign. I’m supporting SPCA because I love dogs.

This was taken some time ago when I went to cover the Dog’s Carnival @ One-U Park.
Quite a fun event actually! Something different!

I’ve created a group, would you mind donating under my group?

My name is quite big already! :)

Click here to donate for my group.
Just key in your email will do. You don’t have to pay for anything, DiGi will take care of that!
How cool is that!

Oh btw, another fun thing to do especially if you’re in need of easy $$! It’s the online KFC contest! Ending in about 3 days!

Find out about it here.

My entry looks like this:

You’ll just have to take a picture of yourself and flava-roast, along with your “I love KFC flava-roast” poster, blog about it, then upload it on the microsite. Just that and RM1,500 could be yours! Oh btw, I just realized that I left out the word “KFC” in my poster.

Seriously these online stuff are quite fun actually!
